This site is dedicated to our precious Lillie Ann and her battle with Severe Aplastic Anemia. Please hang out for a while & check out what's going on with Lillie.
This journey started when Lillie began having abnormal/excessive bruising towards the end of 2007. In January 2008, after a few episodes of noticing Lillie being more pale than usual, and at the prompting of relatives, we decided to let the Dr. check her out just to be safe. Our world turned upside down on that January 9, 2008 when we took Lillie in for her checkup.
After a brief visit with the Dr., a quick trip to the lab for blood work, a scary & unexpected 3 day hospital stay, extensive testing and two bone marrow biopsy's later, we fast forward 3 weeks, and on January 30, 2008, our 8 yr old Lillie was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia (SAA).
